Referring to your further letter of the 2nd of this month, respecting the proposed Agreement for an exchange of Money Orders between Hong Kong and the United States, I am directed by the Postmaster General to acquaint you, for the information of the Secretary of State for the Colonies, that the Draft Agreement, as it now stands, has been carefully perused here, and that in the opinion of this Department it is one which should be acceptable to the United States Post Office.

I am to suggest, however, that the word "paper", before the word 'currency' in Article 5, should be erased, and also to point out that there has apparently been an oversight on the part of the Hong Kong Post Office in the preparation of the pattern Advice Lists, no column having been provided for the insertion, by the despatching Office, of the name of the Office of payment.
